BPI’s Telcodata was founded by Arthur Menko in 1984.   For more than twenty years, executives and analysts around the world have come to rely on Telcodata for quality information and consulting services. The Telcodata Warehouse is the most comprehensive specialized industry database stocked with marketing, infrastructure, QOS and financial metrics for custom projects and consulting.

BPI’s industry experts provide specialized telecom research in our traditional areas of cost and financial analyses, network reliability, regulatory support, demand analysis, forecasting and market research. Telcodata research is used by large and small incumbent and competitive telecom carriers around the world; cable companies, communications equipment suppliers and Wall Street analysts.

BPI’s reputation for superior quality and industry knowledge has resulted in twice being selected by the United States Reliability and Inter-operability Council (NRIC) to survey and analyze the effectiveness and implementation of the best practices of virtually all of the nation’s network operators and equipment vendors.

Subsequent to the 1996 Telecom Act, BPI launched CALMS (the Competitive Access Line Market Sizing tool).  CALMS originally designed to help emerging CLECs target wire centers to co-locate and prioritize for marketing and network planning purposes.  At first CALMS was based on the careful sifting of carrier records on wire center level access lines in later years became enhanced through the SBRC market surveys, demand models and carrier updates.  On account of our reputation for best in class accuracy and care, CALMS has been used in multiple FCC and state regulatory proceedings.
